Flat Stomach Workouts To Gain Perfect Abs

Do you spend hours each day trying to sculpt the perfect set of abs? Or are you more interested in staying fit and maintaining your sexy physique? With these three easy flat stomach workouts, you’ll unlock the secret to exquisitely toned abs.

Your abdominal muscles are divided into three basic groups: oblique’s, upper abs, and lower abs. There are specific exercises for each area that work best to burn off abdominal fat and retain the smooth abdominal muscle.

Cross Crunch

One excellent home workout you can do to tone the external and internal oblique’s, or to get rid of love handles, is the cross crunch. To do this, lie flat on your back on a mat, rest your left knee and bend your right knee at a 90-degree angle to the floor. Raise your left ankle and place it on top of your right knee. Clasp your hands behind your head and do cross crunches, making sure to tighten your abdomen while keeping your back flat on the mat. Rise up from the floor by shifting from the right elbow to the left, which should be on the floor. Your right shoulder and arm should be stretched so that the elbow is nearly touching the left knee. Then gradually relax and let your body return to the original position.

Basic Crunch

The basic crunch is another great home ab exercise that focuses on the upper abdominal muscle. To do this, lie on your back with your knees bent, and feet flat on the floor. With your hands behind your head, curl your shoulders to the front, keeping your lower back on the floor. Slowly raise your head, shoulders and upper back. When your stomach abs are tensed, breathe in – when you lift, breathe out.

Reverse Crunch

A reverse crunch may be beneficial for the lower abs and the upper stomach, because the rectus abdomen is one long muscle. For the reverse crunch, lie on the floor, your hands flat against your sides. Pull your knees up to your chest to form a 90-degree angle. Your feet should be together or crossed as you raise your hips and lift your legs toward the ceiling. Relax and go back to your original position; repeat this routine up to 16 times.

These crunches, which are some of the basic abdominal workouts used today also aid good posture and can keep your bones healthy. But if you truly want a sexy tummy, you’ll need to do more than flat stomach workouts. Your diet and eating routine will also have a strong effect on your ability to get the perfect abs.
